York Pavilion Wedding | Laura and David
ANYWAY the WIND blows
It’s that time of the year again when I polish my picture boxes, recharge my batteries & sacrifice a goat to the wedding Gods for my first wedding of a brand spanking new year. Yes that’s right, we headed out into the eye lid flapping winds with the incredible Laura & David for the most awesome of York Pavilion weddings.
It all began over at Laura & David’s beautiful Pocklington home where me & Paige entered with an immediate hug from their youngest daughter Etta. Jeez she was the cutest! Every now & again throughout the whole wedding she wanted random cuddles & don’t we all need those sometimes. Yes!
After the beautiful Laura was ready & holy moly just look at her hair! Ain’t it just bloody perfect! We headed off to the nearby Church of All Saints for a ceremony to remember. It’s not all that often I do church ceremonies these days but this was a bloody good one. I’m usually fearful of imposed rules and regulations when I get through the door but this time the Vicar said “do whatever you want.” To which I replied “you sir are a rarity in this day & age” & he went onto reply “I know & those people need to get a life” haha legend!
From there it was onto the York Pavilion wedding venue in Fulford where I have to say this awesome two fully embraced the elements to get the shot. Getting the Groom David to stand in a grim phone box while holding the handset amidst a miniature whirlwind of rubbish was a personal highlight. Even more so when I asked him to lick the phone as a joke to watch his face drop. Sorry mate I’m sure those diseases will be treatable.
Back inside it was time for the party to begin. A special thanks to these two & York Pavilion for the awesome food. Even more so to the guy sat next to me who donated his Yorkshire pudding to my worthy cause. When he told me he didn’t like them I asked if he was a serial killer. I never did find out but his inflated Northern pancake of majesty was most satisfying.
Not as satisfying as the badass music & moves busted on the York Pavilion dance floor though. As winds howled through wood & stone Laura & David took centre stage in front of those that matter most. Their two daughters Etta & Minnie in their arms.
Ending the day as it began, as family forever more.
REVIEW | LAURA & DAVE
"I had been following Shutter Go Click on social media for years. Long before there was even a whiff of me getting married. Because I once saw his pictures, and immediately knew that when the time did come, Ryan HAD to be my photographer. So as soon as we set our date I contacted Ryan straight away. In fact, I actually made sure Ryan was available BEFORE we confirmed with the York Pavilion wedding venue! That's how adamant I was that Ryan was going to be our photographer! Our entire wedding was perfect for us and I wouldn't change a thing. But booking Ryan was probably the best thing we did. Ryan was easily contactable and even easier to talk to from the outset. Then the morning of the wedding he and Paige entered our home to an immediate hug from our one year old. From that moment on I think it's fair to say they were both accepted into the fold of my family and friends. They brought even more fun to the day, and even though the day of our wedding was probably the windiest day since Dorothy got sucked into a twister, the outdoor pictures are incredible! Ryan is an artist and the time he puts into the pictures, plus his creative eye, and not to mention the beautiful pictures at the end make him worth his weight in gold. I always said Ryan's pictures look like they have a little bit of magic in them. And that is exactly what I see when I look at ours. Thank you Ryan ❤️"

SHEESH the last time I was at The Judge's Lodging was when I was a student nearly 20 YEARS back at a New Years party in the basement & the place looked a lot less Psychedelic this time around. Check out the UNREAL wedding of James & Dion!
