Who the HELL Let Me Do a MATERNITY SHOOT? ~ Part 3
Ey up you lovely people. I've got an extra special badass Leeds maternity photo shoot for you guys here today. Not to mention it properly warms my cockles that this is actually the first public announcement for the oh so incredible Louis & Kelly that they're having a baby & THEY'RE DUE ANY TIME NOW! SAY WHAT!
Yes, yes I know, I'm calling another couple incredible but all the way back in 2015 I photographed this badass pair at their punk seaside wedding in the beautiful Robin Hoods Bay. Fast forward 5 frickin years & Lou & Kelly have actually become some of my best mates. Not going to lie it felt a bit unusual photographing them again after I've spent so much time with them.
I must admit I was a little disappointed Lou didn't have his Mohawk on full display. Apparently he was checking the wind all the way up until leaving the house for Temple Newsam this morning to see if he could get away with it. Never mind mate, YOU STILL SEXY!
Of course it's been no easy path for Kelly & Lou to get to this point where they're on the eve of parenthood. Quite often these shoots gloss over the true hardships & bumpy roads that come before the bump. Each time I have the privilege of photographing maternity sessions like this one. I know these photos are as much a celebration of that journey together as they are about the tiny human they've created.
With this session I'm going to round of my series entitled "Who the Hell let me do a Maternity Shoot?" Mainly because it appears as though quite a lot of people want me to photograph this phase of their lives. haha. Are you expecting & want some awesome photographs to mark the occasion. & In the meantime, let's celebrate the two people who are gonna make the awesome parents I know.
