The Venue Bowers Mill Halifax Wedding | Sam and Anggi
one WILD week
Wow what a wild week. I spent a week in August with Paige over at Bloodstock Festival helping her run the Mysticum Luna stall. Well I say helping but we also took Casey along for the ride which meant my job title became more like 'chief baby looker afterer.' Man oh man has this little guy transformed these last 7 days. Not only did he manage to stand for the first time but he has become such an awesome little character.
Anyway, in the middle of all that madness I took a day out to spend some time with two incredible human beings Sam & Anggi. After postponements & MAKING A FRICKIN BABY these guys finally managed to tie the knot at The Venue Bowers Mill in Halifax. Jeez I absolutely adored this wedding venue. Industrial epicness with a beautiful couple at the centre of it all. What more could a slightly tired, slightly hung over festivillian photographer need in his life than a slap around the face with a giant LOVE KIPPER. (That's two words combined you never thought you'd see right there)
It all began with Sam & her bridal party getting ready at Westwood Christian Centre in Huddersfield. SWEET JEEBUS this building was beautiful. A converted church overlooking epic Yorkshire landscapes with a jaw dropping interior. Just check out those stained glass windows in one of the bedrooms. SWOON! It was even more special with baby Leo in attendance. While Sam was having her hair done Leo just laid in her arms being an absolute cutie. Sam & Anggi actually had Leo just two weeks after we had Casey so it's properly special to me that these magnificent two have gone through the same journey me & Paige have.
Winding roads led the way to The Venue Bowers Mill in Halifax for an epic wedding ceremony in front of those that matter most. Sam entered to Anggi in all the tears & who can bloody blame him. JUST LOOK AT HER! After saying their I do's it was meal & speeches time before I took these two out into the industrial backdrop of Bowers Mill. All hale strip lights & fringey dresses YES! Back inside a first dance was just the starter before some proper Greek dancing. Seeing Anggi & his dad going for it was definitely one of the highlights of my day.
From there it was time to head off into the night in a two and a half hour drive back to Bloodstock Festival. What a perfect week only enhanced by finally celebrating Sam & Anggi's most incredible of days.
