The Hepworth Wakefield Wedding | Evelyn and Ben
LIFE'S A BEACH
It's that time of the year again when the kids infect me with every known virus to man & rather than lay in bed feeling sorry for myself, I have to put my cameras on & create some frickin badassery for love struck humans. At this Hepworth Wakefield wedding I wasn't feeling great but holy moly I have always wanted to photograph a wedding there. I would legit have to be severed head not to be there in that frickin moment of love meets art. We make art from love baby & we sure as hell lifted the roof off shakey wakey for this doozy of a day with the spectacular Evelyn & Ben.
As it would be dark after the ceremony we met up early to create some portraits around the Hepworth Wakefield. Honestly the elements were in full force & storm Amy was making my eye lids flap. But we utilised the gaps in the heavy rain to make some pure magic. Even when it got a bit too wet we headed inside to explore the frickin magic Hepworth Wakefield gallery spaces. Sheesh Helen Chadwick's incredible "piss flowers" & giant chocolate fountain, a transparent giant compost bin, Barbara Hepworth's Sculpture with Colour (Oval Form) & heaps of other incredible artists framed portraits that gave me the tingles in my special place.
Of course there was no greater art than the spectacular love right there in the middle of the Hepworth Wakefield as these two said their I do's in a wedding ceremony led by the ever awesome Helen Phillips. A special shout to the frickin love tunnel right at the end too. Instead of confetti these two wanted kids parachute vibes & that back light just made it even more magic.
Right after that I managed to steal Ben & Evelyn for a couple more portraits outside while it wasn't raining. We fondled some questionable tree fruits (Don't ask) & utilised all that concrete & soul. Huge shout out to Ben & Evelyn for absolutely smashing their photos by the way. Evelyn is a badass photographer in her own right & these guys were so frickin willing & so frickin in love with making photos. There is nothing more I could ask for.
Awesome food & unreal speeches paved the way for the first dance & party to begin. The amazing South West Band were bloody amazing. Not even wine spillages & wet floor signs could interrupt those busted moves. With that I drove home nursing a headache & a bad case of the sleepies.
Here's to the incredible Evelyn & Ben XOXO

I headed up to the jaw droppingly beautiful Winton Estate just outside of Edinburgh for a wedding in a FRICKIN CASTLE. Without a doubt this Winton Castle wedding has to go down in history as one my all time favs I've ever photographed & not least because it involved A REAL LIFE OWL.
As soon as I arrived the awesome venue manager gave me the grand tour of This Green Moon telling me about MAGICAL little monsters that lived there and endowing me with a special bracelet. I mean that was probably the GREATEST wedding venue intro I've ever had to be fair.
The amazing Jaime-Lea & George tied the knot over at Gosberton Church before having the most BEAUTIFUL D.I.Y wedding reception in their own back garden. Honestly this was easily one of the most PICTURESQUE garden weddings I've ever done. MORE OF THESE PLEASE!
