New Craven Hall Wedding in Leeds | Rose and Dan
a perfect STORM
I reckon the incredible Rose & Dan are actually one of my all time most photographed couples & that's without even photographing their New Craven Hall wedding. Jeez has this day been a LONG time coming. Perhaps it only feels that way because not only did I photograph their engagement shoot & 'would have been' wedding party. But they were also kind enough to model for me on one of my Shutter Go... Workshops.
I'm gonna fast forward all the way to the end of the night to start off this post. I hope Dan doesn't mind me telling you guys this. Me & Paige had got our bags & were saying our goodbyes before heading off home. Me & Dan shared one of those moments. One of those pure emotional moments that had both of us in tears. To quote him as best as my memory allows he said "Ryan, I cannot even begin to thank you enough. We started this journey with you as our photographer & we have ended it with you as a friend"
After the day of a perfect storm lets rewind. Proper dance floor moves including an impromptu chair based dance off. Epic rain fall during portrait time that had me drenched head to toe. Incredible food, Speeches, dodging showers with bar stools as umbrellas. Bridal parties by motorways, the quickest damn New Craven Hall wedding ceremony I've ever witnessed. A house in Kirkstall filled with what felt like a thousand people in each room. Heads been shaved over baths, make up & madness & nerves & hugs & LOVE. Oh all the frickin LOVE!
But my own story with Dan & Rose began way way back. An email in an inbox that kicked off the most magnificent of adventures. One that I'm damn sure we will reminisce over for years to come.
Let's fast forward once more to the end of the night as we left this epicNew Craven Hall wedding. I remember thinking to myself "I fucking love my job." No... more than that. "I fuc£*!g love this life & all the beautiful people that make it so."
