Saltaire Wedding at Caroline Street Social Club | Xanthe and Simon
to the MOON and BACK
I was with the absolutely incredible Xanthe & Simon for their most awesome of Saltaire weddings. It all began with Xanthe getting ready in the morning at her & Simon's beautiful home. Just check out that magnificent dress, that bad boys got more fringe than a... FRINGEY THING. Not to mention Xanthe just looked incredible in it too.
Jeez I always knew these guys would look AMAZING on their wedding day & was not even remotely disappointed. It's a rare opportunity that I get to spend a bit of time with the groom in the morning too & OH MY GOD just look at Simon's colourful ensemble. I usually pride myself on being the most colourful human at a wedding but this dude nearly brought out the sunglasses when he passed Yes!
With the morning over it was onto Victoria Hall for these guys to say their I do's. After a beautiful ceremony & food it was out into the rain with the Bride & Groom to head over to Caroline Street Social Club Saltaire for some killer portraits amidst this incredible venue. Wowza I just love this building. I lived in Saltaire for years but for some unknown reason never set foot through the doors of this retro eclectic awesomeness.
The stage was set with a beautiful handmade moon booth & more golden pineapples than you've ever seen. What better place than to photograph these amazing humans & the rest of the day. When the rain finally subsided I managed to get these guys outside into that golden hour light where we took a little stroll around this beautiful village.
Back inside was where the party was at though. With pizzas from my favourite pizza making hero in the biz Duke's Pizza it was sure to be one helluva night. Darkness fell but the light shined on for these two on a love that lit up this tiny corner of Yorkshire for ever more.
REVIEW | XANTHE & SIMON
“Ryan shot our Saltaire wedding a few weeks ago, & we have been absolutely blown away by what he has created for us. From the first initial emails & meeting, he was super friendly & so easy to get on with, putting us both at ease! His communication was second to none throughout the whole process & we weren’t left with any questions unanswered at all. On the day Ryan arrived & slotted in to the proceedings seamlessly. He very kindly went between two houses to get photos of both of us getting ready (the groom getting ready shots are my favourite!!).
He captured so many little details which we had both missed, which was lovely for us to look back on when our photos arrived. He was outstandingly professional throughout the day, but also made us feel so relaxed & made us laugh A LOT. It was just like having your mate take some amazingly fancy photos of you. We were both so nervous about the photographs because we are awkward sods & can never take a good photo, but Ryan put us at ease as soon as he started working his magic.
It was ace to see him get excited about certain shots & be so creative with our photos. We have had so many comments about our wedding photos saying how amazing & different they are. We are so happy to have found Ryan & will treasure every photo forever. Honestly we can’t thank him enough for such a great experience!! We will be back in touch in a couple of years time for a family shoot for sure.”

I love my job & it is people like the GORGEOUS inside & out Sarah & Sam at their Coniston Hotel wedding that make me LOVE it even HARDER. Final wedding of 2023... Here we go!
