WEDDINGS ARE BACK. BUT THE LOVE NEVER LEFT

Magical light. Magical world. Magical you. Weddings are back but the love never left. I last photographed a wedding on the 25th October 2020. It's been a strange old 6 months but on Saturday Danielle & Daniel got married in an intimate Yorkshire Dales wedding for the ages at Tithe Barn next to Bolton Abbey.

The thing about Danielle & Dan is that these guys are a true testament to the strength shown in these darkest of times. They began their wedding journey like most couples. With invites sent for over 100 people to attend their most spectacular of days. But after getting hit with restriction after restriction. Numbers dwindled & plans changed but love was never cancelled.

With just 15 of their closest family & friends in attendance & the Tithe Barn no longer permitted to house their Yorkshire Dales wedding indoors. These magnificent two took the party outside in a beautiful marquee overlooking Bolton Abbey & the rolling dales.

It began at Danielle's parents incredible home where I spent some time with the Bride & her family before heading off to Linton Church for all kinds of candle lit magic. Across the Yorkshire Dales Spring sung a song of hope that echoed across river & stone.

It was in the speeches where emotions took hold. The Best Man had arranged a video recording from each of the guests unable to attend their wedding. Family gathered around the head table to watch message after message that brought home the impact of the last year that has effected every single one of us.

In golden light the sun hung onto the edge of the world like wild fire. In their hands they held one another until darkness came to pass. A final dance spun into the night as love looked on.

How I have missed these moments.

This calm.

This warmth of connection.

But the love never left.
