WHAT MAKES A GREAT WEDDING?
What a way to close out the 2023 wedding season. Honestly it's days like this one that make me love my job even more. The next day one of my family members asked me when I was ranting about how good this wedding was. "Ryan, what makes a great wedding to you?" & I replied simply with "The people." It doesn't matter if you're getting married amidst the most epic scenery on the planet, or tying the knot next to a frickin wheely bin. If you're excited, positive, filled with frickin joy & also display a kindness & a love that radiates amidst this floating blue marble in space, then I'm gonna fall in frickin love with you & your wedding. I love my job & it is people like the gorgeous inside & out Sarah & Sam at their Coniston Hotel wedding that make me love it even harder. Final wedding of 2023... Here we go!
Of course one of the best parts of this Coniston Hotel wedding was that I got to share it with my heavily pregnant BEAUTY Paige who was shooting video alongside me for the day. Wowza she did so good on her feet & the footage we got was out of this world. It was even cooler because all Sarah's jewellery was actually Mysticum Luna stuff so she could see all that hard work at a real life wedding, HOW COOL IS THAT?
The day began with Sarah & her Bridespeeps in Coniston Hotel as we had some laughs & photographed all the beautification by the awesome team of Kate Reynolds MUA & Hair By Ria. JUST LOOK AT DEM EYES SHEESH! A special mention must got to both Sarah & Sam's shoes too, rocking New Rocks like bosses! Sam & his groomsmen got ready in the boardroom before we headed into a beaut ceremony filled with all the emotion amidst those that matter most. Those purples, that neon... all the love... need I say more.
A confetti shot paved the way for some group shots before we headed on a mini land rover adventure amongst the nearby boathouse, jetty & gardens around Coniston Hotel. We even managed to create such an unreal confetti moment around some stone pillars.
The Autumn colours were in full force outside but back inside it was speeches time filled with all the purple Pokemon inspired goodness.There was a little break before the real party kicked off & Tasmin Taylor DJ lifted the roof of this tiny pocket of Yorkshire. YES! Honestly these two on the dance floor was just magic, but seeing Sarah bust those frickin moves was unreal. Me & Paige were like HOLY SH*T THIS GIRL CAN MOVE!!!
With that we headed back for the long drive home with hearts full & despite been tired huge smiles thinking back over the perfect wedding to end the 2023 season. So... what makes a great wedding?... Sarah & Sam did.
Here's to these childhood sweethearts & a love that I can feel even sat at my desk on this cold Autumn morning.
