A Colourful Intimate Wedding in the Yorkshire Dales | Alice and John
it was CHRISTMAS EVE EVE EVE EVE... babe.
This is it. My final wedding of 2021 & sweet Jeebus what a year it has been. The only way I could give this chaotic 365 days the most perfect of send offs is with two of the most beautifully magnificent people in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales. The Cruck Barn is one of my absolute favourite intimate wedding venues in Yorkshire. Even more so when it's in the middle of the Winter bleak of the Yorkshire Dales. There was an air of tranquility yesterday that surrounded this wedding. A true feeling of warmth not just in the fire. But in the waking hearts of every last person who was there to watch Alice & John get married.
I spent the morning with Alice & her two Bridesmaids at the New Inn pub before we walked over to the Cruck Barn intimate Yorkshire Dales wedding venue for the magic to truly begin. Firstly just look at those colours. That colourful collision of Alice & her Bridesmaids amidst the December Dales put a smile on my face from ear to ear. Especially those INCREDIBLE flowers from Hyde Park Flower Club by Dottie's. The only thing brighter was Alice & John themselves who I cannot even begin to explain just how awesome these two are.
Of course one of the best things about the day was I got to spend the day with Christine Berrisford Bespoke Ceremonies Leeds & wowza did she put on the most beautiful ceremony for this incredible two. Tears were shed in front of crackling frame as people heard the stories of how their love came to be. Christine asked me not to mention her crying during the ceremony so as promised I absolutely will not.
After that it was Mulled Wine then a journey into the Yorkshire Dales where me Alice & John created some magic amidst the rolling bleak. Photographing this pair was just an absolute dream. I have a full man crush on John now. Not to mention these two are so frickin creative themselves. Alice is an incredible illustrator, you can go check out her work at Alice Needham Illustration & John is a bloody Saxophonist. I MEAN COULD THESE GUYS GET ANY COOLER!
Back inside it was delicious food & delicious speeches. Orange candlelight hues lit tears & smiles around horseshoe tables. As I said my goodbyes I'm not gonna lie I was a tad emosh. It's been a helluva 2021. A year that has had such a mix of joy & uncertainty. I waved goodbye to the room & left to an applause from all the guests. The sweetest thing. A perfect ending to an imperfect 365 days. All made perfect by a perfect love. The love in the warmth of connection.
Here's to Alice & John XOXO

I love my job & it is people like the GORGEOUS inside & out Sarah & Sam at their Coniston Hotel wedding that make me LOVE it even HARDER. Final wedding of 2023... Here we go!
