ups & DOWNS

Wow... just wow. I am really, really proud of this set of photographs. Sophia & Peter may have waited what seems like an eternity to tie the knot. (literally) but HOLY MACARONI it was absolutely whole heartedly worth it. This magnificent two got hitched officially back in 2020 but fast forward a couple of years & Sophia & Peter hit the BALTIC in Newcastle to do the whole wedding thing all over again. This time with all their family & friends in attendance.

Spotlight on the BALTIC Newcastle wedding ceremony. Guests watch on in this atmospheric hand fasting.

Since these guys booked a couple of years back I have literally been so bloody excited to photograph them both & I have to say their day did not disappoint. I'd actually go as far to say these are some of my all time favourite wedding images I've ever taken. The INCREDIBLE BALTIC wedding venue, the emotion, THE MAGICAL FRICKIN LOVE BABY! all wrapped up in sweet, sweet creativity. What more could you bloody want.

The Bride and Groom look up amidst BALTIC's industrial spiral staircase. This creative wedding portrait is full of atmosphere and cool.

I have to be honest the day began with a lot of ups & downs. BECAUSE THE BALTIC HAS SO MANY LIFTS #dadjokes With a gorgeous Baltic wedding ceremony filled with lemons & glass, a gold dress of frickin dreams & a hand fasting carried out by the best man that put all the love in the spotlight. This ceremony was filled with atmosphere that gave me all the feels. Right after that it was group shots around Gateshead millennium Bridge & couple portraits that made me tingle in my special place. Exploring exhibitions at BALTIC with these two was an experience I don't think I'll ever forget. White walls were my canvas & love struck humans my paint.

A unique family group shot in this BALTIC wedding in Newcastle. A red copper wall provides the backdrop in this portrait straight out of a magazine.

Up at the BALTIC rooftop it was incredible natural light that made way for awesome food, emosh speeches & loads of baby Seagulls. Yes really. Taking the wedding party back into the exhibits was just an absolute joy. When that first image in this set hit my screen I actually shouted HOLY F*#K really loudly in my office, I mean just look at them... swoon.

Colourful video art provides the backdrop for this silhouette of the Bride and Groom at this BALTIC wedding.

A lift back down to the BALTIC terrace & it was party time on the water front. Moves were busted & merriment most prevalent warmed me to my core as I said my goodbyes to two of the most incredible humans.

An alternative Bride in a Mary Benson dress dances at her BALTIC wedding in Newcastle. A ring of fire creates cascading circles which provide atmosphere of the dance floor.

Was it worth the wait? I think so.
