Sustainable Wedding at This Green Moon | Charlie and Eddie
SUSTAINABLE MAGIC
Honestly this wedding was so frickin special. I spent the day with the incredible Charlie & Eddie for their most awesome of weddings at This Green Moon in Leeds. I actually grew up really close to where this venue is but had no idea it existed until the unreal Charlie & Eddie got in touch. As soon as I arrived the awesome venue manager gave me the grand tour telling me about magical little monsters that lived there and endowing me with a special bracelet. I mean that was probably the greatest wedding venue intro I've ever had to be fair.
Charlie & Eddie are incredible humans. Charlie is actually a content creator & pioneer of realistic sustainability aka @lifebeforeplastic_ Everything created & put together for their This Green Moon wedding was recycled, handmade or sourced second hand. The amazing This Green Moon actually posted on Instagram after the wedding that a tiny one and a half bin bags of actual rubbish was created from the entire wedding including decorations, prep, food & partying. That is absolutely unreal in an age of disposable everything.
Huge props to Charlie, Eddie & of course This Green Moon for making that possible. These guys are changing the way I think about my own sustainability. I do a lot of things already to offset my emissions including no pointless physical deliverables, solar panels on our home/where I work, planting trees and funding environmental projects across the world for every wedding. I don't shout about that enough so need to make a page for that badassery.
From the moment I arrived a This Green Moon it was love at first sight. Jeez the magic of this place gave me all the feels. I've done a lot of woodland weddings & venues but this one has to be up there as one of the best I've ever photographed. Not just because of the venue either but because Eddie & Charlie, their friends & family were some of the warmest kindest humans to ever grace my camera. A wedding ceremony amidst bluebells & dappled light where this epic couple planted two trees. Bumbag confetti, exploring the forest for portraits, eclectic wooden carvings, beut speeches, great food, epic music & all the frickin heart made this wedding such an honour to be a part of.
I could go on about This Green Moon & everything that made this wedding so special but I've already written a frickin dissertation. Check out every single one of these preview images because each frame contains a tiny piece of woodland magic.
What a perfect day & a perfect love. Here's to Charlie & Eddie. XO
THE REVIEW
"We spotted Ryan when looking for ‘alternative’ wedding photos - the kind of photos that are like art on your walls. Now that we have his snaps, we can’t decide which to hang up.
Having Ryan photograph our wedding was like having a friend there (who also takes mint photos). He put everyone at ease, chatting to all our guests & we’ve had so many people mention how ace he (& his photos) were.
He’s mega talented, so personable & very easy to work with. Not to mention how speedy he has been at getting our full edit back!
If you’re thinking about it, don’t hesitate. Worth every penny.
Thank you so much Ryan - smashed it out the park!
Charlie & Eddie xx"

I couldn't wait to get back to Shears Yard, it's been BLOODY YEARS. That candle lit intimacy. That waterfront location. SHEESH Shears Yard is is right up my street. My mental street that is, not my literal street as I'm now over 2 hours away. 🥲 Miss you Yorkshire.
Lets delve into the absolutely BLOODY MAGNIFICENT Ella & Chris' most spectacular of Project House Leeds wedding days involving sex shops, epic toilets & more crystals than Krypton baby. YES!
Every time I get to the Faversham for a wedding it's like shooting at home. The staff are so ATTENTIVE & WELCOMING that it gives me all the feels. Before I know it I have a drink in my hand & I'm laughing & joking with all the BEAUT humans that run the place. A lot of wedding venues could learn to be a bit more like the Faversham that's for sure.
