Whirlow Brook Hall Sheffield Wedding | Sophie and Carl
TIMBER
It's the first double wedding weekend of the year & what a weekend it was. Excuse me while I spend the beginning of the week with magnificent images to grace your eye balls. YES! Well I say that but nursery's had a leak & the kids are at home so rather than imagining me editing amidst my idyllic office setting, I'm more than likely covered in kids, writing these words in between bollockings & editing through my weary dad tears.
It's ok though because I'm still smiling. Mainly because today the magnificent Sophie & Carl are on my screen today & I'm time travelling back to Friday for their wedding over at Whirlow Brook Hall in Sheffield. When Sophie got in touch just a few short months back & asked me to photograph her Whirlow Brook Hall wedding I was right chuffed. Not only because I photographed her brother Miles & Sister in Law Anna's wedding back in 2015 (I'm old) but also because Sophie & Carl had their little girl Tilly at the same time as we had Casey so we'd had plenty of mum & Dad chats during that lock down baby craziness.
It all began with Sophie & her Bridesmaids, her beaut daughter Tilly & her epic Mum Barbara as these guys got ready for the unreal day ahead. Downstairs was where the proper magic began as a ceremony amidst all the frickin love & all the frickin laughs warmed my cockles before we headed out into the epic Whirlow Brook Hall grounds for some beaut portraits.
Back inside it was awesome food & equally awesome speeches before I took this magnificent two back outside for some more image based magic around ferns & fallen trees. TIMBER! The day drew to a close on the dance floor as I said my goodbyes to such an epic couple & such an epic love that lit up Sheffield for ever more.
Here's to Sophie & Carl XO

A little while back I got to celebrate an UNREAL Sheffield wedding fest with the beaut Hannah & Alex amidst one of my fav places on EARTH & one that's close to home, Kelham Island at the INCREDIBLE Chimney House & Yellow Arch Studios.
What seems like an age ago I reunited with my mate Fraggle from uni & his delightful Mrs to be Laura & SWEET JEEBUS was it a good time. Not only because any time me & Paige were in their company we seemed to end up UNREASONABLY SOZZLED. But also because I got given the absolute bloody HONOUR to photograph their most AWESOME of Sheffield Town Hall wedding days.

I got to the AWESOME Wortley Hall in Sheffield thinking it was a new wedding venue for me but then realised I shot there way back in 2016 & what a DOOZY of a venue. That reception space with all that dark wood & the way the light hits it just right is a treat for the FRICKIN eye balls.
