Sheffield Wedding at The Chimney House and Yellow Arch Studios | Hannah and Alex

I LOVE YOU WILL YOU MARRY ME?

A little while back I got to celebrate an unreal wedding fest with the beaut Hannah & Alex amidst one of my fav places on Earth & one that's close to home, Kelham Island in Sheffield. As you guys know I've done heaps of workshops over at The Chimney House & it was proper spesh to get back there on for a real Chimney House wedding amidst all of the love, happy tears & a beaut couple at the centre of it all. We only had a couple of hours together but what a hugely spesh time it was.

A bride & groom in Kelham Island sheffield next to some colourful street art as a car passes by and man walks passed. Symmetry and colour collide in this creative wedding portrait.

Firstly wowza what a kind & sweet bunch of humans in attendance. Hannah literally couldn't stop thanking me all day & was just an absolute sweetheart. In fact everyone who I spoke to was. With more candles than a sacrificial alter & the beaut setting of the Chimney house, Hannah & Alex said their I do's with such tear jerking emotion I couldn't help but smile all day long. After the ceremony we headed out into Kelham Island for some epic groups before I took Hannah & Alex for a whirlwind tour of my fav bits of the nearby Sheffield streets.

Reflections, symmetry and colouful magic in this portrait of a bride and groom amidst Sheffield Kelham Island.

As a Sheffield wedding photographer, What a privilege to spend time with such beaut people amidst one of my fav places to photograph. An epic confetti shot paved the way for a quick Uber ride over to the famous "I Love You Will U Marry Me" graffiti spray-painted on a bridge at Park Hill, Sheffield. His unsuccessful bid to woo his girlfriend became a symbol of the city. None of us realised how high up the graffiti actually was so I shot it as a double exposure & put it in their beaut faces haha. I'm pretty proud of the quick thinking on that one. With that I said goodbye for the day & drove home with just enough time to put Casey to bed. DAD POINTS.

The next day it was all about the epic wedding party over at Yellow Arch Studios in Kelham & what a magnificent do it was. Welcome drinks paved the way for beaut street food from Elkantina before we got fast paced groups of (hopefully) everyone in attendance during a single song. I absolutely loved doing that it was so much fun seeing some of the crazy poses people busted. After that it was time for a magical first dance amidst Yellow Arch Studios before a proper Ceilidh. I've not actually shot a Ceilidh at a wedding before surprisingly but I genuinely wish I could have joined in it was so much bloody fun.

After all the dancing & all the frickin joy I said my goodbyes to an unreal day amidst such a beaut set of humans. What an awesome time spent with such incredible people. A huge thank you to Alex, Hannah & all their family & friends for a perfect couple days in the steel city.

THE REVIEW

We're so grateful to Ryan for the incredible photos he took of our Sheffield wedding. He is such a nice guy and put us at ease from start to finish. The photos are beautiful and capture so many happy, small moments - and he's such a pro that we had no idea he was there for a lot of them! He combines a gorgeous mix of spontaneous photos, couple portraits and group shots, with incredible creativity and heart. He was amazing at making sure to get everything we asked for - and so many of our favourites are all ideas Ryan had on the day. The photos came back SO quickly, and the website makes it dead easy to share the link with family and friends. We're recommending him to everyone we know, and will treasure the photos forever.
