Lincolnshire Wedding in a Garden | Jaime-Lea and George

LONG BRISTLY APPENDAGE

I Have a wedding in Lincolnshire. YES at last I have one that isn't 35 hours away & is in my (now) home county & what a frickin doozy it was indeed. The amazing Jaime-Lea & George tied the knot over at Gosberton Church before having the most beautiful D.I.Y wedding reception in their own back garden. Honestly this was easily one of the most picturesque garden weddings I've ever done. MORE OF THESE PLEASE! With under 30 magnificent peeps & one of the cutest dogs I've ever met in attendance, tons of vintage cars & more fish & chips than a Sea Pterodactyl could manage, this day was nothing short of perfection.

The day began with my first Church ceremony in a year. I pre warned the Vicar about my Super 8 camera sounding like someone was emptying their glass recycling & this Jebus loving legend was right excited as he used to use them himself. You've gotta love an easy going vicar. One time I turned up to a church and the dude wouldn't even let me in the building. I stood outside smoking cigarettes looking through the keyhole crying for an hour. Anyway the Lincolnshire wedding ceremony was beaut. That spotlight hitting the couple all the way through from stained glass windows made for all that magical atmosphere.

Cool Lincolnshire wedding photography. The wedding party pose around vintage cars.

After that there was confetti & a chimney sweep. According to Google ai "Having a chimney sweep at a wedding is a tradition rooted in folklore and considered a sign of good luck and fertility for the couple." In nearly 400 weddings I haven't seen this tradition before, but I couldn't resist getting a funky portrait with him & his long bristly appendage. Legend.

It's not often I get to have a double cheese burger in the middle of a wedding but I hitched a ride with Jaime-Lea & George as they got a cheeky McDonald's drive through mid wedding. We couldn't resist getting a couple of bangers in the car park. Back at their Gosberton Lincolnshire home it was a basket of confetti entrance (THE MORE CONFETTI THE BETTER PEOPLE) Drinks & a few groups around their epic set up. Also can we just appreciate that Jaime-Lea's dad literally made the epic shed that houses their Lincolnshire wedding reception just for this day. I use the term shed loosely as it is basically another house. What a star!

I actually can't talk enough about how magical Jaime-Lea & George made their garden for this day. A funky bar, so many little d.i.y details, not to mention the fact George grows vegetables so good looking they would make Charlie Dimmock get a nipple on. There was a point in the day someone was leaving & he was handing out courgettes like the local greengrocer.

A full basket of confetti thrown at a vintage car as the Bride and Groom pull up to their Lincolnshire wedding.

Epic portraits, Amazing fish & chips with an impromptu Amazon delivery 😂 beaut speeches & more ribbon laden dancing than Maureen the morris dancer could handle.

A perfect day. A perfect love. Here's to this magnificent two. XO

THE REVIEW

"We discovered Shutter Go Click via Ryan’s wonderfully weird Instagram reels, trawled through his website and that was that. A background in documentary photography meant that choosing the right wedding photographer was already going to be a tough decision for me, but booking Ryan was one of the first things we did after getting engaged and basically two years later we’re so glad we did.

Not only was the booking and payment process smooth and painless, but we were able to add an extra service onto our plan easily too. From following Ryan’s socials I already felt like I knew him but our zoom call to chat through the plan and discovering a shared interest in Warhammer, sealed the deal even more so for my now husband.

As we neared the day, Ryan gave us chance to share all the details and took away any stresses and we knew he had it covered (see unplugged guidance for guests).

On the day Ryan was incredible. So much fun and just brought such fantastic energy with him. He took time to check in with us both before the ceremony and then spent all day hanging out and fully being part of the family. Genuinely felt like another friend at our garden wedding and we had so much fun creating magic.

Within 2 days we had 70 odd preview pics and everyone we know was so impressed. Then only 5 weeks after we got wed, Ryan well and truly surprised us by delivering the goods, 650+(!) photographs, slideshows and the extra special super 8 film, beautifully documenting the curated chaos of our day. We were so very happy with everything, we can’t wait to sit down and have a full on viewing party with everyone we know, until then, we can’t stop looking again and again ourselves.

The emotions, the colour, our home, the family & friends, the loving moments and all the funny ones too, all captured. Most importantly some bloody great pictures of our dog and we laughed so much looking at our gallery.

We would absolutely recommend including Ryan within your day to document it in his exceptionally, creative, funky, and gorgeous way. 10/10, 5 stars, worth getting married again just for the pics."
