Leeds Minster Wedding | Micha and Russell

The Bride and Groom dance just outside Leeds Minster on their wedding day.

concrete & SOUL

I was back at one of my favourite wedding venues The Faversham in Leeds after the Leeds Minster wedding of Micha & Russell. The morning began with Micha & her Bridesmaids getting ready at a nearby apartment. I have to say I loved this space, even more so because I was plied with coffee & pastry's upon my arrival. SWEET BEAUTIFUL BAKED GOODNESS!

Outside the Roger Stevens building in Leeds. The Bridal party stand symmetrically outside the a-symmetrical architecture of Leeds University.

From there we headed over to Leeds Minster. I'm from Leeds originally & have shot countless weddings in Leeds too. But have never ventured inside the Minster before & boy oh boy was it beaut for a wedding. I couldn't resist taking these magnificent two back inside after the wedding ceremony for a portrait amidst all that incredible stained glass light. PRISM BABY!

The epic stained glass of Leeds Minster frames this beautiful Bride & Groom portrait in Leeds.

After saying their I do's & a few portraits in & around the Calls where Micha & Russell live. It was onto the Faversham who have a had a little bit of a make over as of late. Ice creams & Flat Cap Brass led this awesome couple onto a sun lit terrace where these guys were welcomed in with open arms & badass tunes.

My absolute favourite thing about The Faversham is its surroundings & boy oh boy did I jump at the chance to once again explore the epic Leeds University campus with the bridal party. Genuinely a wedding at the Faversham isn't complete without some kind of portraits with the Roger Stevens building in the background. These guys were absolutely awesome at lighting up this epic pocket of Leeds with their magnificent faces. YES!

The awesome concrete architecture around the Faversham in Leeds is the perfect backdrop for wedding portraits.

Back inside it was food & speeches in the conservatory before I took Micha & Russell back into the industrialist concrete splendour for that last light. Exploring the surroundings with these two was so much bloody fun. We found places to shoot that I've never even seen before. JUST CHECK OUT THAT POND. Side note: I think Russell is actually the tallest person I've ever met. He made me look like a tiny man baby coming in at 6"11 😱

After the light had dwindled it was back inside where the party truly began. An acoustic set followed by DJ awesomeness put together by the fantastic Not Your Average Wedding Disco (pleasure to meet you guys!) electrified the room.

What a day. What a love. Here's to Micha & Russell XOXO
