THE GREATEST LAUGH I EVER HEARD

It's funny to think that one year ago today me & Paige were stood in a garden about to find out if were going to have a baby boy or girl. Fast forward 365 days & this weekend was actually the longest I've been apart from him since he was born. Normality is a double edged sword. I adore been back amidst weddings doing what I do best. But I also struggle a little with leaving those who I love behind for such long periods of time. The flip side of that is I am pushing myself creatively in a way I cannot describe. It's like this new part of my brain has been unlocked through fatherhood. An electricity that empowers me to be the best version of myself both at home & holding a camera. Perhaps love is the fuel for creative enlightenment. Or maybe some subliminal thought pattern deep within the mind is simply wanting to make my family proud.

On Saturday it was finally time to head into the epic Hebden countryside with Soph & Dave. I can't even begin to describe how excited I've been for these guys Gibson Mill wedding. Soph & Dave are truly the kind of people that wake up a room. Just hearing Soph's laugh, one of the greatest laughs I have ever heard. The kind of infectious laugh that resonates in your brain, gives it a little jiggle & makes you feel in your happy place.

It all began with Soph & her seven Bridesmaids at the jaw droppingly beautiful Widdop Gate Barn. These guys got ready amidst wood & cascading light before been picked up by the awesome (IT'S SO EXCITING TO SEE WEDDING SUPPLIERS I KNOW!) Love Me Do Wedding Cars

Through Sheep & woodland we drove to Gibson Mill, Weddings at Hardcastle Crags. A new wedding venue for me but jeez I would go back in a heartbeat. Not only were the staff bloody magnificent but JUST LOOK AT IT! As that old industrial monolith emerged from thick woodland it was nothing short of spectacular. After a Gibson Mill wedding ceremony in front of 30 of their closest friends & family. It was a drinks reception across the bridge surrounded by forest & blue skies where the Bride & Groom spontaneously serenaded the guests. MAGIC!

I adored creating wedding portraits within the eclectic space of Gibson Mill. Big props to these guys been willing to stand on a stepping stone in the middle of a fast moving stream too. I owe ya one! Magical light framed this love struck two before we headed inside for the first dance.
