A Cotterdale Yorkshire Dales Wedding | Roxy and Jez
HEWN ROCK & WIZENED WOOD
I drove my little VW Polo called Mandy (RIP MANDY) across epic landscapes aplenty for an incredible Yorkshire Dales wedding venue with a difference. Up mountains tall & down long winding roads in one of the most spectacular journeys I had ever done. But little did I know what jaw dropping spectacle lay before me.
In a tiny little village called Cotterdale the incredible Roxy & Jez , their amazing family & closest friends had transformed their childhood getaway into pure paradise. At the end of a dusty road where I was convinced I was going the wrong way. I was greeted by the warmth of every person who had helped put this most special of Yorkshire Dales wedding days together in this tiny hidden pocket of pure tranquility.
Just past the couple of houses that make up this village was a rolling beck that carved through an epic landscape of hewn rock & wizened woods. & by a little bridge stood a white marquee, a contrast to the surrounding green that framed it. A little beyond that rising still above the winding path rose a great tree. A tree that meant so much to the Bride Roxy & her family as her Grandmas ashes were scattered beneath it. This was where the couple amidst those that matter most would say their vows.
No amount of words can honestly do this place or the day I got to share with this incredible family justice. But as always I will try with photographs.
Here's to Roxy & Jez it was an honour to be there by your side.

I love my job & it is people like the GORGEOUS inside & out Sarah & Sam at their Coniston Hotel wedding that make me LOVE it even HARDER. Final wedding of 2023... Here we go!
