FAMILY MATTERS

I gotta confess I think the only time I've ever been to Nottingham. Home of Robin Hood & his Merry Men was when I shot a wedding Sheffield & was so tired that I went the wrong way down the M1 to find myself in a Nottingham hotel car park. This time however it was for a far more awesome reason than my own idiotic tendencies. A Swancar farm wedding with two of the most magnificent specimens of human kind I have ever had the fortune of meeting, Naomi & Alex.

After getting ready in the morning it was time to say their I do's for one of the most emotional wedding ceremonies I have ever photographed. Of course with Groom Alex being an Ex Marine amongst other epic badass jobs it was without question that such a sturdy & emotionally controlled human wouldn't shed a single tear... Actually I'm joking, I believe by the time he had finished crying at the sight of his beautiful Bride the guests had to exit Swancar Farm via canoe, sailing in salty tears of joy.

Jokes aside we headed out for some epic portraits in the hay fever inducing fields of yellow goodness surrounding Swancar Farm. After a walk with the magnificent bridesmaids & groomsmen who didn't complain once about embarking upon such a perilous journey of many miles like Frodo & Samwise to Mordor. We ended the journey with dancing, sparklers & the bringing of night.

I can't even put into words how much I felt like one of the family & friends for the awesomeness that was this Swancar Farm wedding. It's definitely a testament of just how amazing these two people are. Of course only surpassed by them tying the knot on this most magnificent of days. Two people, one frickin magical presence.

Here's to Naomi & Alex & a lifetime of memories framed.

"Ryan, Where do we even start with you? You're by far one of the weirdest, funniest, kindest & friendliest humans We have ever had the pleasure of meeting. A total comedian! We simply cannot thank you enough & we feel so lucky we found someone like you to photograph our wedding day. We knew we didn’t want standard every day wedding photos. We wanted something different, artistic & natural, which happened to be a guy who wears the coolest leopard print shirt with a fag hanging out his mouth cracking jokes the whole day! Seriously- your one of a kind! You fit in with our friends & family like you had known us for years and we was so sad to see you go. We knew you were amazing when we asked you to be our photographer 2 years ago, but seeing our wedding photos today. You have completely blown us away!
