Here to slap you around the face with confetti laden, amethyst spangling, temporary tattoo applying FRICKIN JOY is the incredible Han & Edward. Jeez these guys are another couple who booked an absolute eternity ago but my word their Oakwell Hall wedding was everything I knew it would be.
I spent the morning with Han & her Bridesmaids in her parents house whilst these guys got ready. I've said it before & I'll say it again I bloody love shooting getting ready stuff in peoples homes. There's always that sweet vibe that doesn't come from a sterile Travel Lodge. Thanks to Han's parents too for being so bloody welcoming & lovely all day long. What a pair of legends you are.
After some quick pool room portraits it was off in a vintage camper-van to the epic Oakwell Hall. It's been a while since I've been at this wedding venue but honestly I absolutely adore not only the place but the people who run it. There's a reason they made it to my list of top 10 wedding venues in Yorkshire. Amidst hazy glass & darkened wood Han entered to the waiting Ed as these guys smashed the bejeesus out of their oh so epic Oakwell Hall wedding ceremony. Made oh so epic because my wedding bezzie Christine Berrisford of Bespoke Ceremonies Leeds put it all together. Any day I get to give Christine a Ry Hug is a great day, not to mention I'll be shooting her very own wedding next year 😱 SO EXCITED!
After that it was confetti filled hair & some atmospheric portraits amidst the incredible Oakwell Hall wedding venue before we headed into the barn for food & speeches aplenty. A massive mention must go to Han & Ed's stunning cake by Cabbage Patch Bakery. What an absolute stunner!
So I was at one of my all time fav venues, the ceremony was done by my all time favourite celebrant. Who better to finish the night off than one of my all time fav musical trios Leeds City Stompers. Any time I see these guys I get tingles in my special place & they lifted the roof of the Oakwell Hall wedding Barn as Han, Ed & guests took to the floor.
Genuinely Han & Ed bring so much joy to this planet that I'm honoured to have been there to photograph them. Just look how consistently happy Han looks in so many moments. A huge thank you to all of Han & Ed's friends & family too, you guys were such a beaut bunch.
Here's to this epic two. You finally bloody did it XO
