ONCE upon a TIME on the MEANS STREETS of Ilkley
Holy moly what a way to 'publicly' kick off the 2022 wedding season. I say publicly because I've already shot a somewhat secret wedding this year that I can't talk about damnit. I'm sure those awesome photos will be revealed in the not too distant future. But in the meantime let's soak in those Spring vibes with the amazing Jenny & Jay & their Ilkley wedding at the King's Hall and Winter Gardens.
It all began at the beaut St Oswalds Church in Guiseley & after a gorgeous ceremony followed by the longest confetti shot ever. We headed to the Kings Hall and Winter Gardens in Ilkley for the wedding awesomeness to truly begin. Some pretty famous people have gigged at the King's Hall but today the spotlight was well & truly on this love struck two.
As soon as we arrived we hit the mean streets of Ilkley for some portraits in that golden hour magical light. A special mention must go to the assortment of topless chavs on a nearby park bench who heckled as we walked past. "OI IS IT YOUR WEDDING DAY?!" No you nipple toting toss bag she's wearing a wedding dress for a dare. After hitting Ilkley station & hassling a closing greasy spoon for us to let us in for a couple of portraits. We headed into the cascading cherry blossoms for some Spring time magic.
Back at this epic Ilkley wedding venue the tables were set, the spotlights were beaming & the wedding party settled down for badass speeches, booze & bunches of flowers.
Genuinely I couldn't really think of a more fitting way to pop my 2022 wedding cherry. (Apart from the secret wedding of course... ssshh!) Here's to Jenny & Jay & their perfect love in the spotlight.
