Yes! it's time to celebrate the beaut Dove Barn wedding of the oh so awesome Faye & Tom. These guys tied the knot at the amazing Dove Barn Weddings in Cheshire (a new venue for me) & boy oh boy was it a good'un.
The day began with all that epic getting ready goodness amidst Faye, her Bridesmaids & their beyond adorable Puggles Stanley & Oscar. Keen eyed peeps will remember these beaut pooches from Tom & Faye's engagement shoot & I couldn't wait to see them again. The dogs that is, not Tom & Faye. KIDDING!
After Faye & her Bridesmaids were ready, an emosh first look from Faye's dad paved the way for a Dove Barn wedding ceremony. Sheesh the light in this venue was so pretty all day. In fact the weather Gods gifted us with enough sunshine for me to strip down to my t shirt & Shutter Go... banana hammock (patent pending) all day long. YES!
Group shots & some badass portraits amidst the eclectic walls & down & dirty car parks of Dove Barn were a feast for the eye balls. I particularly remember Barney of SP Wedding Films going on about getting these guys into a field for golden hour magic. I was like "ok yes you can do the pretty stuff with Barney" & then proceeded to lay down on a carpark floor to get a shot of the couple while Barney was nearly crying as my cameras hit the concrete.
It's a regular occurrence for me so I'm used to it, but Barney giving me the reach around & gently cupping my camera while I was laying on the tarmac felt all kinds of comforting. What a top guy he is, honestly such a pleasure to work with you dude & spend all day working alongside you.
Back inside for this Dove Barn wedding & it was speeches & food before we dragged the couple into a nearby field for some golden hour magic. Despite all four of us leaving said field with trench foot & Faye having to literally be washed down we hit the dance floor with all the necessary feels. Jeez these guys knew how to bust some moves & as I headed off into the night for the long drive home I couldn't help but smile at such an epic Dove Barn wedding day.
Here's to Tom & Faye. What a day. What a love.
