Gemma & Tina actually booked just after me & Paige first got together which is absolutely MENTAL to think about. Anyway, fast forward a good three and a half years from when we first met. It was FINALLY time to celebrate with an absolute BANGER of a Thief Hall wedding.
This Is My Love Letter to Life | Our 2022 On Film
I guess the very fact it's taken me all day to put this retrospective together shows not just how many photos I've taken of my family this year & our ADVENTURES together. But also the amount of time I've had with my favourite two HUMANS on the planet. 99% of the 1500 plus 35mm film photos I've shot this year I have home developed, home scanned & edited. Over 300 plus hours of work. It's not just the process itself that I LOVE, but what the process is for. To leave a VISUAL LEGACY behind of all that makes up my life, my world & everything that makes it so. This is My Love Letter to Life. Our 2022 on Film.

I feel like I say it every DAMN year. (Side note: Apart from 2020 😂) But in 2022 I created without a doubt some of my all time favourite photos since I first picked up a camera. Speaking of beginnings, 2022 also marked a DECADE of photographing weddings for Shutter Go Click & that absolutely blows my mind. If you'd have told past Ryan that I'd not only have held onto a job for 10 years without getting fired or quitting, But also that job would fulfil me in every way imaginable, I'd have laughed in your stupid idiot face! The amazing Chloe invited me to photograph her BEAUT little family amidst the eyelid flapping winds of Hale head Lighthouse on the river Mersey. Jeez it was actually a bit bloody MAGICAL seeing Chloe & Eddie again, especially getting to meet their new ADORABLE edition Teddy amidst such a magical setting.
A Christmas Proposal at Thornbridge Hall | Cameron and Ali
A little while back I headed over to the JAW DROPPING Thornbridge Hall to pretend I was there photographing the building for the venues brochure. Little did Ali know that Cameron messaged me a few weeks back to arrange a secret proposal. SQUEEEE!
A Bonfire Night Engagement Session in Leeds | Sarah and Sam
Well this was a bit of a bloody magical... I've got to say when Sarah & Sam booked me I was like HELL YES! Not only are they the COOLEST but they're just bloody lovely too. I was even more EXCITED when they said they were planning on a bonfire for their engagement session at Sam's old Scout camp In Bramley.

This Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel wedding was an absolute BEAUT of a day. It was also the rainiest wedding I think I've done in a very long time. But that didn't stop the INCREDIBLE Lynzi & Kaine from having a smile on their faces all FRICKIN day long.

Wow what an INCREDIBLE wedding day with the incredible George & Joshua over at the jaw dropping Workshop and Loft in Mirfield. It's people like George & Joshua who make my job the GREATEST in the world. The unbridled trust in my artistic vision as pretentious as it sounds. Of course right there amidst those epicly quirky photos it was their LOVE that truly blew me away.
