When the awesome Zena & Liam first dropped an email into the Shutter Go.. Inbox. The subject title read "Iraqi Yorkshire Fusion." Hows that for an attention grabbing headline to get the head spinning in anticipation. Of course what these guys didn't & couldn't tell me was just how frickin incredible this adventure was going to be. Especially with a Yorkshire wedding venue of spectacular awesomeness like Sykes Barn at Sledmere Estate.
Zena & Liam are both architects based in London so I was all kinds of excited to see the transformation for this proper Yorkshire barn wedding over at Sledmere Estate. I have to say it sure didn't disappoint. With beautiful printed decorations, an architect drawing board adorned with the coolest hand drawn table plan. & food & drinks prepared & catered for by none other than Zena's family & friends. This fusion at Sykes Barn in Sledmere Estate wasn't simply about bringing together two families. But was about making these empty rooms a collaboration of love.
In every last moment I have been privileged enough to spend with two amazing people. This is just a tiny scratch in the surface of what makes them so magnetic. As Zena & Liam got ready to embark on an adventure around the world. Here's to some photographs of where that journey truly began.
