A Family Photoshoot in the Peak District | An Hour in the Life of the Richardson’s
BEHOLD MY FLAPPING LIDS
Ooh have I got a beaut Peak District family photoshoot with a set of four incredible humans to share with you today. I met Mirlah over at one of my workshops a while back & right away we hit it off. Mirlah is an amazing photographer, Mum & bloody magnificent human to boot, so I was over the moon when around the same time she booked a photoshoot for her awesome little family. Fast forward a million years later & we finally managed to head out into the Peak District for all the colourful eye lid flapping wind struck portraits we could squeeze in before the kids got too cold. I think I can safely say that Ellis & Ottie weren't that enamoured with standing on top of a cliff in sub zero temperatures. 😂 But sometimes it's that raw perfectly imperfect family feel that takes you right back to the moment. Photographing families isn't just about that Instagram perfect portrayal of reality. It's about dancing like no ones watching, shivering while holding half eaten biscuits & that solitary tear that melts the heart.
What an unreal morning spent alongside incredible people in the heart of the Peaks.
A huge thank you to Mirlah, Nik, Ellis & Ottie for braving the cold & giving me all the warm feels amidst the bleak.

I've been having an absolute BLAST making portraits at my home on the Lincolnshire Coast recently. Since I first visited Sandilands I was so excited to do a shoot there. The eclectic beach huts are right up my street & I have to say they didn't disappoint. LOOK AT THE COLOURS SWOON! Check out this epic maternity shoot on the beach YES!
