THUNDER THROUGH THE BONES
Jeez how time flies , it was actually a year to the day when I photographed an awesome wedding at this very place. Today though, it was all about the incredible Han & Edward on what would have been there own wedding day. I really do feel for all of my couples that have had to postpone this year in all this craziness. But in a true testament to the mentality of "LOVE AIN'T CANCELLED" these guys chose to commemorate their would be wedding amidst the jaw droppingly spectacular ruins of Kirkstall Abbey with some badass portrait photos from yours truly.
It sounds bizarre but every-time I pick up my cameras recently I feel a greater connection to what I do. Perhaps it's the time away from weddings & bringing those memories home for all of those awesome love struck humans. I'm not sure, but one thing I know for certain is that the lack of weddings hasn't made me creatively stagnant or wallow in a lack of drive. It has only made me stronger, more resolved in coming out the other end of these times with a lighting strike to the arse & thunder through the bones.
Heres to the dawn that will rise again. Here's to Hannah & Ed & a love not cancelled.
