Barwick-in-Elmet Family Photography | An Hour in the Life of the Walters
a VERY SPECIAL family shoot
A couple of years back I cheaped out on my sisters Birthday & gave her a voucher for a family shoot. Fast forward bloody ages & we finally made it happen yay! Me & Katy definitely have what i'd say is a close relationship. I don't often say it because EWWWW BIG SISTER! but Katy is one of the most important people in my life. An incredible Mother & one of the kindest & warmest people you'd ever meet. Anyway that's enough soppiness I HATE YOU & I'M BETTER AT MARIO KART. 😂😂😂
Me & Katy both grew up in a little village in Leeds called Barwick-in-Elmet. A little while back Katy, Nick, Daisy & Dexter moved back to Barwick. But other than visiting their house I've never took the time out to take a walk down memory lane. What better place was there than to celebrate their family... my family than by exploring the place where both of our lives began. I took a few film photos of our old primary school (Where Daisy now goes) Barwick fun fair (Where I smoked my first ciggy 😂) & Jack heaps field (Where I was forced to maypole dance as a kid)
The village is exactly as I remember it. There's the same age difference between Daisy & Dexter as there is between Katy & I. It's hauntingly magical watching them play in the same places as we did all those years ago. Even more so because they look so much like me & Katy when we were kids. It's kinda like looking into a mirror of past, a pensieve. (Harry Potter Potter reference) Daisy & Dexter will grow up & I already know they're gonna have the same bond as the generation before them.
Here's to you sis. XOXO

I've been having an absolute BLAST making portraits at my home on the Lincolnshire Coast recently. Since I first visited Sandilands I was so excited to do a shoot there. The eclectic beach huts are right up my street & I have to say they didn't disappoint. LOOK AT THE COLOURS SWOON! Check out this epic maternity shoot on the beach YES!
