WHO IT’S AIMED AT

This workshop is aimed at wedding photographers looking to build their creativity by learning new badass techniques & putting them into practise.

WHAT THIS INCLUDES

• 8 Hour creative wedding photography workshop with Ryan Learoyd aka Shutter Go Click Photography amidst the epic urban venue of The Tetley, Leeds.

• The theory of creativity, from pre wedding to post production. This section will be focused on how to react creatively within unconventionally beautiful environments. The use of prisms, ring of fire, double exposures & other tools to enhance & inspire the seemingly mundane. How to escape the box & shoot for yourself. How I use my business to project my creative voice & attract couples that trust & believe in my vision.

• The practicalities of pushing boundaries under pressure. This section will consist of a live couple photo session amidst the industrial setting of The Tetley in Leeds. Using the theories put into place in the previous section we will take to the streets & apply them to a real world situation. Prisms & other tools will be provided for experimentation (All you need is your camera!)

• Extending reality. In this final section of the workshop I will live edit the images from the practical section to show how creativity doesn't end when importing. I'll go through the post production workflow I use to edit photos & give you the confidence to think out of the box by delivering alternative edits to set you apart from the competition.

• Q & A. Your chance to ask me anything you like.

• Lunch & H2O is provided on the day, Tea & coffee is available to order at the bar.

T & C

• Sony cameras as of the time of writing do not come equipped with an in-camera double exposure function. Unfortunately because of this Sony users can’t take full advantage of this small part of the workshop. Apologies & here’s to future updates making it possible.

• Parking not included & must be paid for by the individual

• No refunds are offered but in the case of an inability to attend, Your place can be moved to another workshop date providing there are available spaces.

EXPERIENCE. EVOLVE. ESCAPE.

Jeez you guys, every single time Paige just knocks these workshop videos out the park. KABLAMO!!! Feast those little peepers on the badass highlights from the February 2020 Theory of Creativity Sheffield workshop & read those hot off the press reviews. If you're on the fence about coming HOW VERY DARE YOU! Experience. Evolve & Escape in a day filled with prism wielding expletive extravagance. "It was fab!! I was dubious at first as I really didn’t think you could “teach” creativity - HOWEVER its inspiring and its all about training your eye to see. So I suppose you can teach it!! I also found out I’ve been doing double exposure the long way round so it was great to find this out. Having the time to play was worthwhile too. Ryan shows you HOW to get the best out of the equipment. I’m off to experiment now and loose myself creatively!" "Not only did Ryan fill my brain with amazing techniques, we went out on a mini shoot and put everything into practise and then he showed us how to enhance these skills in the editing process. Ryan is an absolute dude, I’m so glad i made the trek up to Sheffield for this workshop. It wasn't just a portfolio builder which is what some workshops are. It was nice to meet like minded people that are either in the same position as me or a little ahead that shared their stories. This workshop has given me a real boost to try new things and believe in myself. 100% would recommend this workshop to anyone wanting to spice up there shooting and learn new skills."

Shutter Go... Workshops ~ The Theory of Creativity has without a doubt been an incredible success as photographers around the UK & beyond have travelled to The Chimney House Sheffield for a learning experience beyond convention. Don’t take my word for it! Read some of the feedback from my latest workshop below. Yes! Plus another huge thank you to my amazing Paige who has put together yet another frickin magical highlights video from the last day of Shutter Go... Awesomeness. She’s getting better & better at this video lark & who knows what the future might hold for video based Shutter Go Click badassery? I do I do. EXCITED MUCH? “Ryan’s a super creative wedding photographer and his workshop is a perfect kickstart for new photographers or creative refresh for old hands. He takes you through his processes without ever being preachy and making you feel like your doing it wrong. He teaches you a number of creative tools and processes that he’s become well known for such as his use of prism’s and double exposures but the core of the workshop is about not being held back from being creative on live shoots and finding a personal creative style. The workshop was really relaxed, informative and a good mix of discussion and practical around the subject. Would recommend to photographers of all skill levels and experience.” ~ Craig “I loved it! Genuinely! It was interesting throughout, I learnt stuff (lots of stuff actually), the people were all lovely, it was relaxed, and fun, and different (in a good way). I am so glad I attended :)” ~ Adele “It’s not about the workshop... it’s about the experience, meeting new people, drink a bunch of beers in the end with friends you made that day! Collaboration, exchange of ideas, knowledge... Too many silly jokes to mix! I think I summarized my experience in this workshop! Ahhhhh, most likely you will learn some new techniques... It was a great pleasure to go to this workshop!!!!!” ~ Luis “Loved it. Lots of different techniques. Loved meeting other togs. Really informal which is totally my bag. I’d defo sign up again. ” ~ Adele “Well what more can I say but awesome day! Ryan you really inspired me and made me have such a buzz for what I love!! Everyone was so friendly and a great bunch of togs. Lunch was pretty dam good too!! As for the models and the location just wow! I’d recommend it to anyone that wants to take there creativity in photography to the next level ⚡️” ~ Charlotte
BOOM! Do ya hear that people? Are your lug hole holes primed for more Shutter Go... Workshop awesomeness? Hows about them peepers? Well it's time to feast you eye ballery firstly on one helluva promo video put together by my spectacularly beautiful & talented Paige. Need more convincing?... HOW VERY DARE YOU! Well the reviews are coming in & let's just say I'm already bowled over by the magnificent words from previous attendees. Here's some of the feedback so far. YES! "Loved it! Loved seeing your amazing techniques, and trying to think outside the box when it comes to things like group shots too! I also loved seeing how you can spot a daft batch of light on a wall and be like "oh yeah that's cool as fuck, this is how I'd use that" Really has got me thinking how I need to observe and look around more at weddings, and use everything I have got at my disposal. That Pastrami sandwich too man, WOW!" ~ DAZ " Once upon a time there was a photographer who decided to share his knowledge about taking cool pictures with other photographers who were less fortunate than him. These photographers travelled far and wide from all over the world to meet in middle England and learn the ways of the master. Deep in the shadow of the chimney house the master photographer dispensed lightning knowledge with unrivalled wit to his students. They listened in awe to his wonderful tales and after eating a mighty feast, they put their newfound knowledge to test and created their own cool pictures. Later on, merriment ensued and the less fortune photographers all returned to their lives armed with the knowledge to create their very own cool pictures like the master. They all lived happily ever after. The End. In short, Ryan’s masterclass was mint. He’s a top bloke with bags of info about all sorts. His dick jokes are a bit pants though. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn something a bit different." ~ JONATHAN "There's not enough space in the box to fit it all in...bloody fantastic day, learnt shed loads of stuff, laughed until I cried then laughed some more... taught by a true professional...yes that bits true. Thought I knew a fair bit about photography...until I met Ryan..taught us all stuff I'd certainly never thought of or heard about...and what an imagination this guy has...too sum it up ....JUST AWESOME." ~ EDD
